![]() ![]() Go HERE to check it out and grab it from the App Store, and HERE to grab the free desktop version for Mac. DropCopy is designed to function as intuitively as possible: simply launch it on 2 or more iOS devices (or computers) that are on the same Wifi network and the devices will automatically 'see' each other. ![]() I ‘m very glad I rediscovered DropCopy today “ and I ‘d highly recommend giving it a look today, while it on sale “ for free “ for just one day. DropCopy - easily share files and clipboard text between iPhones, iPod Touches and Macintosh computers. On the iPhone, you can also get a quick (and small) preview of images and docs transferred to it.Ī couple things I ‘d like to see added to DropCopy (or that at least I ‘ve not come across as yet) are the ability to select multiple files at once to copy from the iPhone, and an ability to save images copied to the iPhone into its photo library (which the CopyShare app can do, for example). All of these things are done in a flash as soon as you make your choices. Open DropCopy, tap on its destination circle, and choose what kind of transfer you want to make “ transfer files, photos, send a network message, or send or receive clipboard contents to / from a Mac or iPhone on your network. If your iPhone is on and you ‘ve got DropCopy open, the file will show up there instantly. On the desktop, you select where to place the app ‘s small ‘destination window ‘ (which is just an unobtrusive icon-sized circle) and when you want to transfer a file from the Mac you simply drag it onto that circle. It is incredibly simple to work with the app on both the Mac and the iPhone. Today, I grabbed the latest (free) desktop version of the app, installed it, installed the iPhone app, and was happily transferring files in both directions within 3 minutes. Luckily, one of the things DropCopy prides itself on is its extreme ease of use. So today I ‘ve been getting re-aquainted with it. Then I ‘d somehow lost touch with this app “ until I saw that recent email I hadn ‘t realized the app was available in the App Store. I had used DropCopy on the iPhone way back in the days before the App Store, and liked it a lot. Tap the (vertical ellipsis on Android) or (ellipsis on iPhone/iPad) next to the folder you’d like to share. That ‘s a great deal, for a very slick and useful app “ that lets you very (very!) easily share files between any combination of iPhone, iPod Touches, and Macs (and there ‘s a Windows version coming). Heads-up: our normally $5 file-transfer/clipboard sync app DropCopy will be freeįor one day this Sunday (8/30) to commemorate the release of a new version ofĭropCopy for Mac, optimized for Snow Leopard. I got an email the other day from one of the guys behind DropCopy, the brilliant file-sharing app for iPhone and Mac “ with some very good news on their iPhone app: ![]()
